7 last minute instructions that you can give for the students attempting TCS Digital exam

If your students are attempting the TCS digital exam tomorrow, I am sure you are as nervous as them. And you would want to help them as much as possible to crack the exam. So, we have taken up the mock exam TCS has released for its students and come up with a set of instructions that you can tell them before taking the exam.

About the exam:

• TCS has mentioned that it is looking for candidates who don’t just clear a written test but also have an idea about the latest digital technologies. So, ask your students to atleast do a basic Google research on technologies like IoT, Machine Learning etc; We have seen these questions in the Agility section of the paper

While attempting the exam:

• An answer to a question gets saved only if you press “Save and Next” option on the screen. A student can change the option later, by clicking any other option or click on “clear response” if they want to leave the question unattempted.
• TCS so far had negative marking in all its exams. However, there was no mention about the negative marking in the instructions of the Mock exam. This may or may not be the case in the final exam. Ask your students to read the instructions carefully and not assume anything.
• Students cannot switch between the sections. Once they submit the section, they cannot return back to it. And. All sections appear in the order shown in the above box.
• Time from one section cannot be transferred to other section, so ask your students to use the entire time to answer as many questions as possible or review the answered questions.
• During the mock test given by TCS, there were 2–3 incomplete questions. Now, we are not sure if this is intentional or not. Ask your students to beware when answering such questions. Ask them not to assume anything and leave the question unanswered if they feel the question is incomplete.
