A simulation-based optimization method for emergency evacuation induced by gas pipeline leakage risk was proposed in this paper.

The influence radius of different leakage accidents were calculated based on damage criterions and ALOHA software and the evacuation radius around the accidents were determined considering the panic psychology near the leakage-induced accidents.

The number of evacuee affected by the accidents and its spatial distribution were calculated.

Emergency evacuation models for the affected community and villages based on multi-agent system were established to analyze the evacuation characteristics of residents.

The optimal design method and strategies of community evacuation were proposed. Responsibility areas of organized evacuation service for community evacuation exits were determined.
