Wastewater Monitoring for COVID-19 in Canada

This paper describes and explains the novel experience of how Canadian researchers initiated and demonstrated how monitoring wastewater for genetic signals of the virus that causes COVID-19 can provide independent, cost-effective evidence about trends in the occurrence of that illness in the community served by a sewer system.
