Let’s be honest here. When the notion of Work From Home (aka WFH) first appeared due to the virus situation, the majority of us tickled pink. We started fantasizing about the many work-related problems that would cease because of it. Those early morning hassles at home as you prepare for work. Getting stuck in a dreadfully-long traffic jam. And if cars aren’t your mode of transport, getting your personal space invaded in a cramped train might be all too familiar to you instead. All that — just to get scolded (again) by your boss for coming in late.

True enough however, those problems did go away now that we WFH. But we’re also faced with another problem. That is; working from home itself.

The reality is, working from home is harder than working from an office. With the comfort and convenience of our beds and TVs, we find it extremely difficult to concentrate on completing our tasks on time. And for those whose bosses are very bossy on them, this is an even bigger issue. Hopefully, reading this will help you sort that out. Here are 3 reasons why you’re struggling to WFH and how get to rid of them for good.

There Are A Billion Distractions

We mean it. There are a billion distractions at home. Whether it’s the sight of your comfy bed calling you to take a nap, or the sight of your dog taking a nap, distractions are everywhere. No matter how small they are, they sure will hinder your ability to work from home. So first off, identify those distractions. Make sure you focus on cutting out the major distractions first. Be creative. If that bed is a problem to you, take off its bedsheet. If you still persist on lying down on a naked mattress, then there’s something seriously wrong with you.

You’re Not Showering (Early Enough)

Yes we understand. There’s little incentive to wake up 6 in the morning just to take a shower. I mean, who does that when they’re spending the whole day at home right? Well, now you should. The thing is, showering will leave you feeling ugly, lazy, and unmotivated. So start showering earlier and feel the benefits for the rest of your day. It doesn’t have to be 6 in the morning. If your work starts at 9 in the morning, half an hour earlier sounds good. Even if you’re ignoring your shampoos and conditioners, that’s fine. Just get some water on you aight?

You Don’t See Anyone. Like, Literally.

You miss your coworkers, your boss (stop lying), and everyone else in that office. Even if you’re the most antisocial person that’s ever lived, making the switch to WFH can still leave you missing the social aspect of an office job. Now that your boss can’t catch you scrolling through cute cat images on Instagram, you’re not as productive anymore. If you’re doing a project with your coworkers, communicating with them can be such a bummer, even if you’re connected to them via a video chat platform.

Fret not however, those concerns are precisely why Facewall was created. With all day live video update of yourself to your boss, you can forget about scrolling through cute cat images, and actually get things done instead.
