FDM printing: how to choose a right filament
1st November almost the full team of FactoryFinder got into an amazing room of FabLab ITMO with a responsible mission — to hold the second webinar in the series on 3D-printing!
Let us open to you a secret: for an hour before the webinar we managed to set up the equipment, to take look at the various 3D printers and machines of ITMO laboratory and, of course, to talk to Kostya Zhelty — speaker of the webinar, an engineer on development of materials of the PrintProduct company.
Participants of the first seminar and FactoryFinder communities helped us to identify interesting topic for the second seminar. It was the issue “Materials for the FDM-printing. Variety, application, selection”.
Designating subject more narrowly, we, however, did not lose. The webinar collected only those who are not just interested in additive manufacturing, but has a real experience in printing and needs practical knowledge!
Webinar participants received the most useful information on the subject:
- an overview of materials for FDM printing;
- plastics and their types;
- thermoplastics and their types;
- properties of materials;
- the basic rules of the choice of material.
At the end of the event, as always, Kostya was glad to answer sophisticated questions from the audience.
