Ruby Wine is the first Ruby Conference held in Moldova aimed to bring together Ruby developers, beginners and interested students from all over the world for spending time with pleasure and benefit. It is the conference that will combine experienced speakers, engaged in Ruby development with tasty Moldovan food and wine. It’s a great opportunity to get brand new knowledge and maybe even some future work opportunities and proposals.

If you are still thinking about joining the conference or not, here are 5 reasons to join us!

1. Great talks

Every conference starts with great content, and Ruby Wine is no exception. Whether you’re looking to learn more about how to hijack, proxy and smuggle sockets with Ruby, find out more about what Ruby Micro services, operations, transactions, monads and other fancy words mean, or you’d like to get familiar with Ruby and it’s possibilities, then this conference is the right place to be. Looking for tips and tricks on how to make Ruby work better for you — you might find them on Ruby Wine.

Ruby Wine will offer you the opportunity to widen your horizons and enlarge your knowledge in the field of development. This will happen thanks to the contribution of our speakers. There will be more than 10 professional speakers performing on the stage: developers and software engineers from RubyGarage, Red Hat, Movinga, Toptal, YoungCapital, Salt Edge and others. Find out more about them on www.rubywine.org

2. New acquaintances and the amazing attendees

Meeting new people is one of the reasons for heading to a conference in the first place. With a mix of new developers, old pros, and the people who build tools every day, Ruby Wine offers an opportunity to mix and mingle, and more importantly to learn and share the knowledge you have! The Ruby Wine conference will gather more than 200 participants from the Eastern Europe region (Moldova,Ukraine, Romania, Belarus, etc) and around 10 international speakers from Germany, Poland, England, Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Netherlands, Serbia, Ukraine, Russia, and, of course, from Moldova.
That is an opportunity to know your mates, interact with other Ruby developers and make new connections.
You’ll have the chance to meet new people, make new friends, and maybe find someone to pair with on your next big project! The conference gives you the opportunity to create new connections and to interact with each of the attendees during coffee breaks, Networking Wine session and of course the After Party.

3. Keep up to date

Every Ruby Conference is special because we are able to get the latest on what’s happening with the language that makes us happier coders. We are going to have 10 useful presentations like: “Event-driven Architecture and Messaging Patterns for Ruby Micro services” or “Embrace multi-model thinking” — where you will be able to address your sore questions. There are going to be several coffee breaks and a networking session — a perfect opportunity to interact with participants or speakers for knowledge sharing and experience exchange.

More than that, Ruby Wine is a great opportunity to take the inspiration from a talk and head to the hallway and practice those skills. There will be cozy spaces to get working on those new-found skills!

4. Visit Moldova

Most travelers like visiting tourist-recognized places and avoid less known destinations. But what if we told you that there is a place in Europe which abounds in natural beauty, absolutely fantastic cuisine, great people, and huge cultural heritage while being incredibly inexpensive, and somehow, still a secret. Yes, that is Moldova, the least visited country in Europe that is stuck in transition, while, in fact, has so much to offer to the visitors.
Don’t wait till this hidden European gem becomes a worldwide attraction, and dare to surprise yourself by planning a trip to Moldova now and joining the very first Ruby Wine conference!

5. Wine, wine and, again, wine

Moldova takes the 20th place being one of the biggest Wine producers in the world. As you come to the motherland of the finest grapes grown on our fertile soils, wine will be the main treat of our Conference. You will have the opportunity to taste the delightful Moldovan Wine during the Networking Wine session that we’ll have at the end of the day. We plan a grandiose After Party and a tour to Winery — Cricova, an enormous and famous wine cellar, on the 14th of April, the day after the event! More wine for you, in case you are a big fan of it. Be sure, you won’t go home sober.

Don’t hesitate to buy your ticket on www.rubywine.org! Save the date and join us on 13th of April!
