I’m starting the 26th chapter of my life and am very grateful to have loving family and friends all around me. Here’s a few lessons that have made me smile, cry, stumble, and soar over the years. I decided to write them down as a reference for myself but thought it would be fun to share!

  1. Be happy. There’s not enough time to be upset.
  2. Exercise your body and mind.
  3. Be passionate. Live life, don’t let it just happen.
  4. Money can be earned. Time and love cannot.
  5. Explore new things and have adventures.
  6. Travel more.
  7. Do one thing well.
  8. Prevent information overload. Filter out noise.
  9. Appreciate your parents. They won’t be around forever.
  10. Spend time with yourself, family, and friends.
  11. Read more.
  12. Love more.
  13. Following the status quo isn’t fun. Neither is going against it.
  14. Things could always be worse.
  15. Don’t panic, don’t be anxious. Life goes on.
  16. Don’t sweat the small decisions.
  17. Own less things.
  18. Spend less than you earn.
  19. Always stay curious. Don’t let society’s norms bound your thinking.
  20. Be less busy. Take time to let your mind wander.
  21. Embrace mistakes. Apologize, learn, and grow.
  22. Deal with what’s thrown at you.
  23. Be self critical and validate yourself. Don’t seek validation from others.
  24. Only compete against the person in the mirror.
  25. Music helps the mind explore.
  26. Enrich yourself and those around you.

Just a few brief notes that at one point or another would have helped me out. Looking forward to taking on the next 25! Feel free to hit me up on twitter.
