1. What is FAIR Play?

FAIR Play is the ultimate super-app for gamers, offering a myriad of benefits and tools. Through it, players can manage their assets and statistics on various gambling and betting platforms using a non-custodial web3 wallet linked to their DiD FAIR Protocol profile.

FAIR Play also opens up a world of betting operators and special offers to users, providing access to a multitude of personalized offers and bonuses based on individual preferences and recommendations. It enables players to enjoy instant deposits and withdrawals without fees, as well as universal authorization across all integrated iGaming ecosystems within FAIR.

2. What are FPP tokens?

FPP Points in FAIR Play is a dynamic reward system designed to empower users in the gaming ecosystem. Users earn FPP points by participating in various activities such as completing quests, participating in iGaming quizzes, surveys, and social interactions.

FPP Points can be used to unlock exclusive loot boxes, earn valuable NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), and access other perks on the FAIR Play platform.

The more FPP points users earn, they increase their chances of receiving a FAIR retrodrop.

Crypto Wallet

6. What is a non-custodial crypto wallet?

A non-custodial crypto wallet is a type of digital wallet where users have full control over their private keys and funds. Unlike custodial wallets, where a third party holds your private keys, with a non-custodial wallet, only the user can access and manage their cryptocurrencies FIAR allows you to use cryptocurrency. Yes, the FAIR has a built-in multichain non-custodial crypto wallet.

This may sound complicated, but it’s quite simple. Non-custodial means that only you can manage the assets on it. Not FAIR, not other users. Only you. Multichain means it supports several chains.

We currently support Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and Binance smart-chain. This list will expand as the product develops.

7. Can I buy cryptocurrency from you?

You cannot purchase cryptocurrency from FAIR, but…

This can be done with our partners. Access to their service is integrated into the crypto wallet. Please note that the rules for purchasing cryptocurrency are determined by our partner. Please read the terms of service on the partner’s website.

8. How does authorization into a non-custodial wallet occur?

For authorization, we use the Web3Auth service. This solution is the de facto industry standard and has proven to be quite reliable. It allows you to access a non-custodial wallet using your Google account and Apple ID. Using Web3Auth you can access your wallet on any of the services that support this authorization mechanism. More details at https://web3auth.io/

9. What is the difference between a non-custodial and a custodial wallet?

A custodial wallet is managed by a third-party service or company, which holds and manages the private keys on behalf of the user. With a non-custodial wallet, the user is solely responsible for the safety and management of their private keys.

10. Does FIAR only use non-custodial wallets?

No. We use a custodial service to store and manage FIAR balance. Within the custodial service, each FAIR user has his address where his funds are located. There, funds are moved from the user’s address to the operator’s address to ensure quick replenishment of user balances with the operator. All settlements within the custodial service occur off-chain and do not require payment of network commissions. All funds inside the custodial are stored in USDT on the Polygon blockchain only.

11. How do I back up my non-custodial wallet?

Many non-custodial wallets provide a seed phrase (a series of words) during setup. This seed phrase allows you to restore your wallet and funds if you ever lose access. Write down this seed phrase and store it in a safe place. Do NOT share it with anyone.

12. Are non-custodial wallets safe?

Non-custodial wallets offer increased control and security since users are responsible for their private keys. However, this also means that users must be vigilant about security measures, like keeping backups, not sharing private keys, and using secure devices.

13. How do I send/receive cryptocurrencies with my non-custodial wallet?

To send, input the recipient’s public address and select the amount you wish to send. To receive, share your public address or QR code with the sender. Always double-check addresses before sending!

14. Are there fees associated with transferring cryptocurrencies in non-custodial wallets?

Yes, most blockchains have transaction fees that users must pay when sending cryptocurrencies. The wallet doesn’t set these fees; they go to network miners or validators.

15. What should I do if I suspect my non-custodial wallet has been compromised?

Immediately transfer your funds to a new, secure wallet. Review your security practices, update all passwords, and consider using a hardware wallet for added security.

16. Can someone access my funds if they have my public address?

No, your public address is just for receiving funds. However, they can view the transaction history associated with that public address on the blockchain.

Web3Auth

17. How do I sign in using Web3Auth?

When prompted, connect your blockchain wallet, and then sign the message or transaction request. This process may differ slightly depending on your wallet interface but usually involves clicking a confirmation or “sign” button.

18. Is Web3Auth secure?

Yes, Web3Auth is considered secure because it leverages cryptographic signatures. As long as you keep your private key safe and ensure you’re signing authentic requests, your identity and data remain secure.

19. Will logging in with Web3Auth cost me any transaction fees (gas)?

No, signing a message for authentication typically doesn’t require any gas or transaction fees. However, actual transactions or contract interactions post-authentication might incur fees.

20. Do I need to reveal my private key to use Web3Auth?

No, never share your private key. When you “sign” using Web3Auth, the private key is used to generate a cryptographic signature without ever revealing the key itself.

21. Can websites access my funds using Web3Auth?

No, websites cannot access your funds simply through Web3Auth. However, always ensure you’re interacting with trustworthy websites to prevent phishing attacks or malicious contracts.

22. Why use Web3Auth instead of traditional login methods?

Web3Auth offers several advantages:

  • You don’t need to remember usernames or passwords.
    - It’s a decentralized solution, reducing reliance on centralized services that can be hacked.
    - It offers an added layer of security through cryptographic signatures.

23. What if I lose access to my crypto wallet?

If you lose access to your wallet, you’ll likely lose access to platforms authenticated via Web3Auth with that wallet. It’s essential to back up your wallet’s seed phrase or private key to recover access if needed.

24. Can I have multiple Web3Auth logins?

Yes, if you have multiple wallets, each one can act as a unique login. Remember, each wallet address is like a distinct identity.

25. What data do websites see when I log in with Web3Auth?

Typically, websites will see your public wallet address and any data associated with that address on the blockchain. Always be cautious about sharing additional information.

26. Is Web3Auth widely accepted?

As the decentralized web grows, more platforms are incorporating Web3Auth. Its acceptance depends on the specific platform and the industry.

27. What happens if a website I use with Web3Auth gets hacked?

Even if a website gets hacked, attackers cannot directly access your funds or private key through Web3Auth. However, always monitor such platforms for any unauthorized activities or potential phishing attempts.

28. How is Web3Auth different from OAuth?

OAuth is a centralized authentication method that uses third-party services (like Google or Facebook) for authentication. Web3Auth, on the other hand, is decentralized and uses blockchain wallets for authentication without relying on a third-party intermediary.

29. Can I log out of Web3Auth?

Yes, you can disconnect your wallet from any platform. The process might vary depending on the platform and wallet but usually involves a “disconnect” or “logout” option.

Remember, the decentralized web and its associated technologies are still evolving. Always prioritize security and stay updated with best practices when navigating and using Web3 platforms.
