Mercedes Benz Collection: An affordable solid choice of cars
Mercedes Benz US arm introduced its subscription service in Tennessee, Nashville, and Philadelphia in April 2018. The service is similar to those offered by Porsche and BMW — for a monthly fee, the subscriber has access to a variety of cars. Insurance of US$1,000 is included in the offering, as are maintenance, roadside assistance, and unlimited mileage.

The Offering comes in three plans:
The Signature plan enables you to choose between the C300, AMG CLA 45 sedan, GLC300, GLC300 Coupe SUV-s, C300 Cabriolet and SLC 300 Roadster. The monthly fee for the Signature plan is US$1,095.
The Reserve plan enables you to choose between the E300, E400, AMG C43 Sedans, GLE350, AMG GLC43 SUV-s, E400 Coupe, AMG 43 Coupe, E400 Cabriolet and AMG SLC43 Roadster. The monthly fee for the Reserve plan is US$1595.
The Premier plan enables you to choose between AMG E63S, AMG C63S, S560 Sedans, AMG GLE 63S Coupe, G550, GLS550, AMG GLE 63S SUV-s, SL550 Roadster and AMG C63S Coupe. The monthly fee for Premier plan is US$2,995
Signing up seems to be quite simple: you download the app, provide your credit card information, choose a plan, and provide a picture of your driver’s license. Your application is approved within one business day, and the activation fee of US$495 is charged to your credit card.

The first car is delivered to your doorstep by your concierge. You can book a flip via the app, but you must do it no later than 12.00 p.m. on the day before. Further communication and vehicle changes can also be ordered via the app.

From a fairness-index perspective, customers would probably see the benefit of having access to four types of car — a sedan, an SUV, a coupe, and a convertible for just one of the cars price. Compared with other subscription services, this offering is really attractive and great value for money.
