Nice, I could not put down FALILV when I was 16. Thompson was a crazy crazy dude. His books are legend. Try Fear and Loathing on the campaign trial 72. It’s another excellent read. As for acid, it was fairly common in my home town. We had a local kid, kind of a mad scientist and he was a perfectionist. Talk about “tripping balls”. I probably had 5 or so acid trips in my life, and a couple of mushroom trips . Mushrooms way less intense. I can say I have never in my life experienced anything close to an acid trip since (I would not recommend any hallucinogens for long term or chronic usage personally ). They can open your mind and provide context, illumination and enlightening or freak you out. I never had a bad trip, only very enlightening experiences, but I have seen a few bad trips in action and helped a friend mellow out and brought them back from the edge on a bad trip. I believe it has a lot to do with your present state of mind, your internal feelings of self and how you either go with the flow or lose perspective and try and fight it. It’s all mind, space or place and attitude beforehand and during. Anyway, great article. I would recommend to anyone thinking about tripping to start with mushrooms (all natural) and make sure you know where your supply comes from and you trust it completely. Second, bring an experienced tripper on your journey with you. They can be your tour guide. Travel safely, as in all things moderation is the key ingredient to safe and pleasurable experience!!
