Is It Special Pleading to Believe in God?

I get it.

Believe me, I do.

When secular-minded people try to have a rational conversation about science, politics, ethics, or whatever, and someone whips out the “God Card.”

Uggghhh.

It can be frustrating, I know.

I’m a Bible-believing Christian. A pastor, no less. And I get how frustrating it can be.

This appeal to deity can effectively derail any constructive conversation.

The same frustration clearly exists here on Medium. I encounter frustrated readers all the time — especially since I often write on matters of faith. I’m dealing with a couple right now in the comments section for one of my articles.

As a Christian, let me be the first to admit that there are a lot of very obnoxious Christians out there. I’ve tried not to be one of them, but I’m only human.

On that note, allow me to reiterate what I’ve said numerous times…
