Editor’s Note: This article is part of an ongoing series we’re calling “Defunct Christian Tech Blogs Still Worth Your Bandwidth.” Find the growing list here.

About This Blog

Pete Phillips has been a leader in the digital theology field for a long time. His defunct blog Postmodern Bible proves it. Based in the UK, he has gone on to start the world’s first and only Digital Theology degree program, so he has the academic chops to back up his thinking.

Phillips’ blog is true to form: You will get some of his thoughts and ideas as they are developing, which for an experienced thinker like him, still means those thoughts are critical and valuable. If you’re still developing your own thoughts about faith and technology, poke around Phillips’ Postmodern Bible.

His thoughts will challenge and sharpen your thinking. If you think it’s obvious what Christians should believe about transhumanism, Phillips will poke a few holes in that certainty. If getting rid of Facebook is the only way to make social media better, Phillips will offer reasons why you should stay. Whatever the case, you’ll come away with ideas to wrestle with.

Where to Start

If you want to continue engaging with Pete Phillips and his provocative work, he’s still challenging Christianity’s status quo. Find him on Twitter @pmphillips and writing for Premier Christianity.
