How To Build A Profitable Model For Your Freelance Business

You have an idea, a gift, but do you have a business? If you’re not earning an income from what you offer, you have a hobby.
But first, let’s define a few terms:
- A business strategy is a deliberate vision to get to a desired long-term goal. A business strategy encompasses your vision, mission, and positioning.
- A business model (s) is a tool to execute that strategy.
For example, I had a coaching client who wanted to build brands and campaigns for businesses that didn’t want to be garbage people. My client’s strategy centers on empowering for-profit business to do good by creating a purpose model and customer communication and connection, which ultimately bolsters her clients’ bottom line while doing good for humanity.
To service that strategy, her business model could incorporate DIFY (do-it-for-you) services, 1:1 and/or consultation and education, DIY products and more to capture her dream customer at varying life stages and budgets.
The products and services she offers should satisfy her strategy and align with her vision, values, and goals.
