My Family Project is helping a Jamaican family with a 9-mon-old with a possibility of cerebral palsy. Knowing about the family systems theory is helpful because it truly does show that how one family member is affected, affects the family as a whole.

As we begin to dive deeper into this project and really look at this family, it will be apparent as to how each member of the family is affected. Each family member has something to give.

With the 9-month-old being a baby girl, and the two other kids being boys, they will naturally be protective. Not because she might have cerebral palsy, but because the natural thing for older brothers to do is to watch out for their younger siblings.

Small family. Big family. Crazy family. Calm family. Happy family. Proud family. Every family has struggles regardless of the face they put out as a whole. Knowing how family members are affected by another member is essential to working as a family as a whole.
