How Having a Cat is Preparation for Being a Parent

Let me start with a clarification: I’m not suggesting you should get a pet as “practice” before having a baby. I’m not suggesting you have to refer to your pet as a “fur baby” or anything like that. But that doesn‘t mean that having a cat cannot prepare you for a baby — even if that was never the intention.
