  • We started to test out the generative research toolkit that we have built together
  • At this stage in our project, there are three focuses that we try to narrow down:

1. the users we would like to work with,

  • the specific experiences and their environment (external factors)
  • We are narrowing down the users we would like to work with by attributes:
  1. The type of family
  2. The age of children
  3. The number of children

Which we intend to use our surveys to further narrow down

  • The type of experiences that we would like to further narrow down is the below 5, which from our first round of explorative research that we discovered that had a lot of frictions:

In our 2nd phase of research, we first ask the interviewees to rate which of these 5 questions are the most problematic. Then we will proceed to ask further questions regarding the relevant category.

On a second thought, it might be helpful to show these categories as cards instead of on the same sheet of paper because people tend to be biased by the position of each piece of information.

For each of the 5 activities, we used methods such as directed storytelling to help the participants tell us more about their ongoing experiences

Our generative tools focus on allowing the participants to tell us what they hope and what they would like to get help on form their day-to-day travel — their ideal situations of the day

It is quite like that we will go back to the participants in this interview, again and again, to ask them follow-up questions and follow-up activities as our information collection process becomes more and more focused
