Me and My Apple IIC: “Beyond Castle Wolfenstein” (1984)

The Apple IIc in all its glory. (Credit: Apple Inc.)

Apple computers began showing up at our schools in the early 80s. We’d spend an hour or two every week in the “lab” making programmed designs with our Logo Turtle. If we completed the assignment with time to spare we could spend the rest of the period playing “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?”. After school we’d go home and plead with our parents to buy the house a computer.
