The FanChain Stamp Database is now live on a public GitHub repository. The living, ever-expanding database provides the metadata that makes each FANZ token unique. Over 1,600 stamp codes that correlate with over 1,600 teams, leagues, cups, competitions, conferences and divisions are included in this initial push, with thousands more entries to be continually added by the FanChain team.

▪️ The FanChain Stamp Database currently includes metadata associated with: the NBA, WNBA, NFL, NHL, Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball teams, divisions and conferences, as well as NCAA Division I Football and Men’s Division I Basketball teams and conferences;

▪ ️the English Premier League, International, European, South American, Central American, Caribbean, Asian, and African soccer teams, leagues, cups and competitions;

▪ ️FIBA-governed international basketball teams, leagues, cups and competitions.

The metadata includes detailed information such as:

▪️ Team/League abbreviation

▪️ Regional name (e.g. Knicks)

▪️ Generic name (e.g. New York Knicks)

▪️ Primary, secondary and tertiary color

We are excited to present this to the Blockchain community, and doubly so to invite fans from all over the world to expand and enhance the FanChain Stamp Database, making it ever inclusive of sports, teams and leagues from every corner of the globe.

HOW CAN THE FANCHAIN COMMUNITY GET INVOLVED?

In addition, our FanChain Icon Font was also released to the public today. This Icon font contains the glyphs/escape codes referenced in the FanChain Stamp Database for the various sport icons and can be used on websites, mobile apps, and on your desktop.

The database is now publicly available within FanChain’s GitHub account, in a dedicated repository. This data will be in the form of a JSON file for broad compatibility and ease of integration into other systems. Modifications and additions to this list will be handled via an open pull/commit process, managed by FanChain. We welcome members of the community to contribute! Those interested in contributing should follow this link: https://github.com/SportsCastrFanchain/FanChainStampDB/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md

Both the StampDB and Icon font are released under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license with details included in the respective repositories. This means you are safe to use them in your apps and websites for both commercial and non-commercial reasons. If used in context (associated with FanChain tokens, for example a wallet, exchange, or app/site that integrates FanChain), the attribution will be considered satisfied without an additional notice. If you would like to use them in another context, then full attribution is required.
