Green is the other lightsaber color most commonly associated with the Jedi apart from the typical blue, of course.

Green lightsabers are predominantly wielded by Jedi Consular, who prioritize peace and use their weapons only in self-defense. They are the Jedi who have gained the highest degree of mastery in using the Force. However, a few Jedi Knights also use this lightsaber color.

Hundreds of Jedi appear in Star Wars: Episode II — Attack Of The Clones. Apart from the iconic Yoda and Qui-Gon Jinn, several lesser-known ones are also seen wielding single-bladed lightsabers made of green kyber crystals.

Let’s look back at some of those who deserve to be discussed.

Bultar Swan

Bultar Swan was a Jedi Knight and one of the members of the Order who fought in the Battle of Geonosis in Star Wars: Episode II — Attack Of The Clones, where she wielded a green lightsaber.

The sizable squad of 212 Jedi was dispatched to the planet Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Padme Amidala from the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The ensuing battle launched the Clone Wars, a three-year galactic conflict.

Swan was among the only 30 Jedi who survived the events in the film. However, surprisingly enough, she didn’t appear in the TV series The Clone Wars. Her actress reportedly went through makeup and wardrobe testing for Revenge Of The Sith, but she is not featured in the final film.

That said, Bultar Swan was given considerable development in various reference guides, providing us with some basic backstory about her. Swan first trained under Micah Giiett, who taught her various styles of unarmed combat.

After Giiett’s death, she continued her training with his close friend Plo Koon, who reinforced Lightsaber training to complement her martial arts skills. As a result, after being knighted, Swan gained a reputation for never having to kill in combat. Instead, she opted to go on the defensive until striking, leveraging martial arts to neutralize her opponent.

Nonetheless, this approach had to change with the outbreak of the Clone Wars, during which she served bravely. After defending Coruscant from General Grievous’ attack, she went on to survive Order 66.

Coleman Trebor

Jedi Master Coleman Trebor was a member of the Jedi High Council before the Clone Wars. He briefly confronted Count Dooku in the First Battle of Geonosis with his green-bladed lightsaber. Given his immense skill as a master, he had the ability to eliminate Dooku, which could’ve ended the Clone Wars at its very outset.

However, tragedy struck when the bounty hunter Jango Fett intervened unexpectedly, and brought a fatal halt to Master Trebor’s efforts with a series of tactical and well-timed shots. Hence, Coleman Trebor is regarded as the first casualty of the Clone Wars.

Trebor is remembered not only for his death but also for the bravery that led up to it. He came close to stopping the Clone Wars before they even began. He had previously replaced Yarael Poof on the Jedi Council, a position later held by Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Coleman Trebor may only have appeared on screen for just a few seconds, but he was essential in setting the stage for many subsequent events.

Agen Kolar

Agen Kolar is frequently overshadowed by Eeth Koth, another Zabrak Jedi, and is often mistaken for him. Originally, George Lucas planned for the two to be the exact same character, but he ended up writing them as two distinct and independent Jedi.

So, as presented in the Star Wars Universe, Agen Kolar was a Zabrak Jedi Master native to Iridonia and a friend of Mace Windu. His former missions had relegated him to the Inner Rim and the fringes of the Republic, but with the Clone Wars, he was brought closer to the Core.

The group of Jedi sent by Mace Windu to tackle the Separatists on Geonosis included many Jedi Masters. In this group of 200 Jedi, Agen Kolar stood out for his considerable gifts. The battle cost him dearly — he survived, but his padawan, Tan Yuster, died in the execution arena.

Master Kolar was a skilled swordsman in the Jedi Order, and his lightsaber skills were highly regarded and famous. He used a lightsaber with dual kyber crystals, allowing the plasma blade to switch between green and blue. The second kyber crystal, blue, was from Yuster’s lightsaber.

Kolar quickly moved past Yuster’s death and accepted the position of General in the Grand Army of the Republic, as if to forget his grief. In his mind, serving the Galactic Republic was part of the Jedi’s job. He had little patience for his whispers of dissension within the Jedi ranks from the beginning of the Clone Wars.

He was one of the Jedi, along with fellow Masters Saesee Tiin and Kit Fisto, whom Mace Windu brought with him to arrest Chancellor Palpatine, aka Darth Sidious in SW: Episode III. Kolar was confident in his ability to defeat anyone, yet despite his prominent status, Sidious managed to kill him with a single strike, as well as Tiin in the same way.

Stass Allie

Stass Allie was a Tholothian Jedi Master who served on the Jedi Council. In Attack Of The Clones, she appears in the council scenes and participates in the Battle of Geonosis.

Allie is often confused with her cousin, Adi Gallia, due to their similar appearances and roles within the Jedi Order. This confusion arises because she was yet another replacement character, initially intended to be a recast of Adi Gallia from The Phantom Menace. However, producers later realized that she didn’t look like the same character.

Stass Allie is distinguished by her unique headdress and slightly different facial markings. She continued to serve the Jedi Order in Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge Of The Sith, where her fate was sealed during Order 66. In both Episode II and Episode III, Allie’s green lightsaber is seen in action, emphasizing her skills and commitment as a Jedi Master.
