The German midfielder signed a new deal on Monday which sees his contract extended until 2023 — a day after Los Blancos finished their La Liga season with defeat by Real Betis.

This season has proven no different for Kroos, as while Real went trophy-less for the first time in six seasons their trusty World Cup-winning midfielder remained central to all that was good about this side.
