Response to Return to The Teenage Brain

In Richard Freidman’s article “Return to The Teenage Brain” written on the effects of neuroplasticity, Freidman points out the rewards and the possible consequences of research in this field. I agree because while there are many rewards, we need to be careful so that we are not left of worse than we are now. This is because changing neuroplasticity leaves the brain vulnerable.

While everyone can be better off with neuroplasticity, not everyone had a brain that can last through and come out mentally improved, some come out worse because of their brain becoming more vulnerable during this time period. The only thing I disagree with in this article is that we should not test the drugs on animals until they are proven to be safer.
