Who?

Most people think “hippies” and “young people” are the only people that live in tiny houses, but they are wrong. Many older, crafty adults are building their own homes to escape the struggles of a regular house.

When?

The tiny house movement has trended on and off since the 70s but has become extremely people recently. I first discovered it by scrolling through Tumblr in 2014 and seeing these very small houses from the outside but amazing on the inside.

Many people are starting tiny house communities just like the cozy cones in the Disney movie “Cars”. Even though it sometimes difficult to find a place to park it is worth the work.

Why?

What is so good about a tiny house if it is so small? People fall in love with them because cost less, more freedom, and create it themselves. The electricity bills are lower and you aren’t tied down to a mortgage. Designing your house is like doing an huge, fun DIY that comes along with fixing all the problems that are to become of the house.
