We’ve reached college football’s final four and if you’ve followed along this year, you know I’m heavily invested this season. Both matchups offer plenty of intrigue and present a couple of new faces to the party which is personally refreshing. To get the weekend and more importantly the New Year off right, FanDuel Sportsbook is offering 30/1 odds on any CFP team to win. Here’s how I see these games going and which side I’d consider placing some dough on.

Cincinnati +14 vs Alabama (3:30 pm et)
Even entering the season ranked in the top 10, Cincinnati was underrated entering and throughout the year in my opinion. They suffered a narrow loss to Georgia in the Peach Bowl last season which was their only loss. This team is loaded with upperclassmen and led by 4-year starter Desmond Ridder. This is a test like they’ve never faced before, but his experience will be huge tonight. On the other side of the field is the juggernaut Crimson Tide who are never over matched but will be the younger team tonight. Bama is as explosive as ever on offense with Heisman winner Bryce Young slingin it and a front seven led by athletic freak Will Anderson.

I’m excited to see how the Bearcats top 2 pass defense fares against this Bama passing game especially now that they’ll have one less star to defend in John Metchie. Conversely, I want to see if Cincinnati and Ridder can take advantage of an Alabama pass defense that hasn’t played up to par with past teams. I fully understand that Bama has the high profile recruits, better athletes, etc, but have been supporting Cincy for the whole year and I won’t stop now. I don’t think it’s unfathomable to see the Bearcats seriously challenge Alabama today so getting double digits is too much to pass up. I may be in the minority here but give me Cincinnati +14 but if you’re offered 30/1 on Bama to win a game, that is definitely the side!

Georgia vs Michigan +7.5 (4:30pm et)
Holy Crap! I’m still in a bit of shock about Michigan being here and admittedly not as excited for tonight as I was for “THE GAME”. That said, I cannot wait to watch these two throwbacks and almost mirror images of each other go head to head in another game that pits strength vs strength. They’re both playing dominant defense and pounding the rock this year as UGA ranks inside the Top 5 in rushing defense & 31st in rushing offense while Michigan comes in at 20th in defense and 10th in offense. Their passing games normally play secondary roles in their success but could be the deciding factor during today’s semi-finals matchup with either Stetson Bennett or Cade McNamara playing pivotal roles and even they are very similar. In the end and maybe with some rose colored glasses on, this is a very even matchup when this AND ONLY THIS season is taken into account leaving me thinking this line is too large. I’m riding with my Wolverines and taking the 7.5 but also think if that’s the case, why not just go big or go home so I’d be betting Michigan ML and utilize this great promo from FanDuel.
