Good morning all and welcome in! I hope you guys have shaken off last week, it was brutal. Nothing shook out the way we expected. Yes, I was on Pat Mahomes and Tyreek Hill, but I didn’t expect Tampa to leave Carlton Davis on an island with Hill for the entire first half. Derek Carr, Kyler Murray, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert — all of them crapped the bed. It was a weird week with several guys hitting either the very best of their range of outcomes and others hitting the worse. It’s definitely not a great feeling, but, if you’ve been rockin’ with me this year, chances are you’ve been profitable as I’ve been the vast majority of the season. Even though last week was rough, just know we can’t win’em all and it was just a speed bump on what otherwise has been a highly efficient season for us. Let’s shake off last week and focus on what comes next though.

Value Plays

Jared Goff: Goff is interesting to me in tournaments at only $5,800, which opens up a lot at running back at some high end wide receivers and he’s facing the Cardinals, a fast paced team which means more plays for the Rams, with a meh defense. The reason he’s not a lock for me here is the Rams play calling this year. What I mean by that, is that there have been some games where the game plan is extremely slow and run heavy. He’s had fewer than 35 pass attempts in seven games this year. On the other hand, there have been a few games where the game plan is to let it rip where he’s thrown more than 50 times. I don’t honestly know which one will be the plan here, but I do know that this is a game with some shootout potential and I want exposure to it.

Devontae Booker: Booker is $5,500 this week against the Jets. The Raiders are favored by nine points which is significant. He’s not the most talented guy in the world, but volume and game flow should be there for him and he isn’t terrible. With Josh Jacobs ruled out, Booker is the man this week for the Raiders.

Brandin Cooks: The Texans have a tough matchup and won’t have Will Fuller to help get some attention off Cooks. However, that shouldn’t impact his volume too much. Cooks is a good player and Deshaun Watson has been playing out of his mind since O’Brien got fired. I expect them to find a way to success here. Even if he can’t be massively efficient here, you can certainly do worse at just $5,600.

Robert Tonyan: For tight end, I really like Tonyan for tournaments this week. He’s dirt cheap at just $3,700 and gets a highly beatable Philly defense. Green Bay is projected to score over 28 points here, give me a shot on a cheap tight end who’s seeing about five targets a game-high value targets up the seam from Aaron Rodgers.

Must Plays

Ryan Fitzpatrick: I really like Ryan Fitzpatrick this week at $6,000. Cinci is not a good defense, they just looked good against a bad offensive unit missing it’s best player and that lost it’s QB to injury last game. Fitzpatrick is a true gunslinger and nothing about this Bengals defense makes me think he can’t be productive here. I will also say that with the run game still extremely hampered there could be more passing volume for Fitzpatrick even if the game gets out of hand.

Nick Chubb: Chubb is $7,700 this week against the Titans. This is projected to be a high-scoring game, with the Titans ultimately winning, but not blowing the Browns out. That means they’ll likely stick to the run. The entire offensive philosophy of the Browns is to run it down the opponent’s throat, this match-up is one that should be conducive to that happening.

Dallas Goedert: The Eagles are a mess, but the last two weeks Goedert’s been great despite what’s going on around him. This game has a decent projected total of 48.5 with the Eagles chasing. The volume should be there, the match-up isn’t scary and we know the talent is there and his price tag is highly affordable at $4,300.

Las Vegas Raiders Defense/Special Teams: This is more of a tournament play for me this week, but, this unit is $3,300 against the Jets who aren’t even projected to score 20 points. If they can keep the score low and take advantage of a bad offense, they could score double digit points here, like they did against the Broncos a few weeks ago.

That does it for this week! I sincerely hope this week goes better for us than last week did. I wish you all the best of luck and sincerely hope you all crush this last week of the fantasy regular season and make the playoffs!
