U.S. District Judge Katherine Polk Failla, for the Southern District of New York, has denied Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott’s request for a preliminary injunction.

Failla’s decision, which was posted at approximately 10:15 p.m. Monday night, states that “the NFLPA has failed to demonstrate a substantial question warranting the extraordinary remedy of injunctive relief or a balance of hardships that decidedly weighs in its favor.”

The decision is stayed for 24 hours to allow for the possibility of an appeal, but as it stands, Elliott would remain suspended.
