Fantasy QB Streaming Options

Week 13 is here and you know what that means? No more bye weeks! Finally all of our starters are back and playing together and hopefully you love the lineup you’ve got going into the playoffs. While bye weeks may be behind us, some of us still have a lot of questions at the QB position.

With star QBs Tom Brady and Matt Ryan both facing top six defenses this week you may be looking elsewhere for your QB needs. Lucky for you Week 13 has plenty of favorable waiver wire QB matchups to take advantage of, so without further ado here are my top three streaming options of the week.

Case Keenum at Cincinnati Bengals

You may be surprised to see Keenum on this list considering his up and down play this year, but fantasy is all about the matchups and this week Keenum could not have asked for a better one. The Broncos will travel to Cincinnati this week to face the 32nd ranked defense against QBs this season giving up just over 28 fantasy points per game! This defense has been torn apart by everyone who faces them. Last week Baker Mayfield destroyed the Bengal secondary throwing for over 250 yards and four TDs. Keenum comes into this game scoring over 17 fantasy points in three of his last four games and I think he beats that mark easily this week leading the Broncos and your fantasy team to a huge late season win.

Dak Prescott versus NO Saints

The red hot Dallas Cowboys will host the even hotter New Orleans Saints this Thursday night in what should be one of the best games of the weekend. Prescott comes into this one just a week after carving up the Redskins defense on Thanksgiving scoring over 31 fantasy points and showing that high ceiling we saw back in his rookie year. Since the addition of WR Amari Cooper the Cowboy offense has been on fire and has finally found the passing attack they desperately needed the first half of the season. I think facing this unbelievable Saints offense the Cowboys know they are going to have to score a ton just to keep up and the only way they do that is through the air. Good thing for Prescott is he should be able to throw the ball wherever he likes against a Saints defense giving up over 25 fantasy points per game this year to QBs. I expect this game to be a shootout with everyone involved putting up big time fantasy points.

Derek Carr versus Kansas City Chiefs

Carr and the Raiders will be facing their toughest matchup of the season this Sunday against the AFC leading Chiefs, coming in fresh off a bye and ready to rebound after that thrilling Monday night loss to the Rams two weeks ago. The Raiders have been one of the most disappointing teams all season both in fantasy and reality, but I think this week they have a good chance of putting up points against a 27th ranked Chiefs pass defense. While the Chiefs offense has been putting up points at record pace their defense hasn’t been nearly as good. The Chiefs defense has given up more than 19 fantasy points to QBs five out of the last seven weeks and I don’t see any reason that changes this week. I expect the Raiders to fall behind early in this one and will be forced to ditch the run game and put everything on the right arm of Carr who is going to need to have a huge game if the Raiders want any chance to win. Look for Coach Jon Gruden to put the game in his young QBs hands slinging the ball early and often.
