Week 8 is here and that means the NFL regular season is already halfway over, the first half of the season has been amazing with a bunch of wild finishes, unbelievable performances and most importantly tons of fantasy points. Most of you at this point already see where your team stands among your respective leagues, and if your at the top of your standings congrats! But for the rest of us, these middle of the season matchups are what make or break are teams chances at a playoff run. With bye weeks coming in bunches now, managers everywhere are running to the waiver wire for a replacement that they can trust which can be very difficult at times. But no need to stress anymore because I have this weeks top fantasy QB streaming options right here.

Mitchell Trubisky versus NY Jets

In his second year Trubisky seems to have finally made that leap the Bears were waiting for after trading up in the draft and selecting him second overall last year. The Bears hired the Chiefs former offensive coordinator Matt Nagy this off-season and then went out and signed pass catchers Allen Robinson, Trey Burton and Taylor Gabriel to give this young QB reliable weapons all over the field. After a shaky start to the season, Trubisky has caught fire over the last three weeks with an average of more than 40 fantasy points per game! This Sunday the Bears have a great matchup at home against the Jets, who have given up an average of 25 fantasy points per game to QBs since Week 4. This is a must win game for Chicago after that heart pounding loss to the Patriots last week and I expect the offense to come out firing with Trubisky, leading you to a win in your fantasy matchup.

Baker Mayfield at Pittsburgh Steelers

I wrote about Mayfield in this article last week and he did not disappoint with an impressive 24 point outing in an overtime loss the to the Buccaneers, throwing for 215 yards and two scores while also adding 43 using his legs. As I mentioned last week, Baker is in the middle of the best run of matchups any QB may see all season playing Pittsburgh this week followed by the Chiefs and the Falcons. All three teams rank 25th or worse against the pass this year. Everyone should be going to the waiver wire to add Mayfield right now before its too late, his chemistry with Jarvis Landry is growing every week and TE David Njoku is becoming a beast in the Red Zone. Facing the Steelers in Heinz Field you can expect Big Ben to put up big points forcing the Browns to throw all game giving the rookie QB plenty of chances to score.

Derek Carr versus Indianapolis Colts

To say the least the Raiders season has not gone as planned, as they sit at the bottom of their division with a 1–5 record and a locker room that seems to be divided after the departures of both Star LB Khalil Mack and now former first round pick WR Amari Cooper. Carr has taken a lot of criticism for the team’s bad performances over the past few weeks, but not nearly all the blame can be put on Carr who is playing behind a banged up offensive line and has no support from his defense whatsoever. Carr has actually thrown for more than 268 yards in five of six games this year showing that the passing volume is definitely there he just needs some positive regression in the TD department. Many of you may think that after trading away Cooper this offense has no hope but I disagree. Carr still has veterans Jordy Nelson and Jared Cook to rely on over the middle while big play man Martavis Bryant should see a lot of deep balls thrown his way adding much needed explosiveness to the offense. The Raiders face the Colts on Sunday after their destruction of the Bills last week scoring 37 points in the win, I expect this game to be a back and forth shootout with both offenses putting up a ton of points.
