IDP Week 10 Waiver Wire: Bye-Week Bonanza

That’s not a 2018 fantasy IDP all-star team I’m listing (though it could be). That’s a list of just some of the top IDP players who were on a bye this week. And while surely some owners managed to find a bench spot for one of these guys, using two bench spots is highly unlikely (and not advised), and many owners were forced to drop their top IDP altogether. The point is — as hinted in last week’s article — some huge names might be available for the taking in your league this week.
Depending on your offensive needs, if you can afford to use a high waiver priority or a chunk of your FAAB budget to secure any of these names on your roster for the playoff push, now is the time. Because what IDP names like these boast at the very least is a high floor. It’s always nice to know that a certain amount of points can be relied on with consistency each week from your IDPs, and nothing is worse than those occasional zeros. But at most what players like this give you in their best performances is WR2 numbers, and weeks like that can help you win your league.
Put it this way: Depending on your league scoring, in most standard leagues coming into this week Darius Leonard has the same or more points than Marvin Jones, Jr. this year. Think about that for a second. As an added bonus, it’s nice to have those set it and forget it guys ROS so you can use up all your stress on your offensive players. After all, there is only so much stress to go around. Good luck, happy hunting and go football.
