Week 5 Streaming Defenses
Tennessee Titans at Buffalo Bills (39.5 percent owned)
Those who streamed against the Buffalo Bills last week (with the Green Bay Packers) were rewarded with the No. 1 defense of the week. Buffalo gave up seven sacks and three turnovers last week and are averaging five sacks allowed per game. They face off against the Titans this week who are coming off an overtime win against the defending Super Bowl Champions. Vegas has this game as the lowest point total of the week giving a safe floor and making the Titans’ DST the top streaming option.
Carolina Panthers vs New York Giants (28.9 percent owned)
The Panthers are coming off their bye week so have had extra time to prepare against the struggling Giants. The Giants have allowed 15 sacks this season and opposing defenses have scored double digit fantasy points three of the first four weeks. The Giants will also be without their passing catching tight end, Evan Engram, limiting their offensive options. Look for the Panthers to be another solid streaming option for Week 5.
Honorable Mention:
Denver Broncos at New York Jets (53.8 percent owned)
The Broncos D/ST was dropped in many leagues due to their Week 4 matchup against the Chiefs. It would be worth a look at your waiver wire to see if they’re available. Denver was the first defense to be able to slow down Patrick Mahomes’ hot start and now have a much easier matchup against Sam Darnold and the New York Jets.
