Ahead of the Divisional round of the playoffs, we highlight some of our favorite investment options on the Fanvest DFS marketplace.

Quarterback

Favorite Play: Patrick Mahomes — $FBX29.98

He does come with a steep price tag, but Patrick Mahomes is set up nicely to have a monster day on Sunday. He will be fresh after having a bye last week and resting in week 17. Some argue there could be rust, by my instinct is that he is rearing to go at this point and will come out guns-a-blazing. He also has Andy Reid leading the charge, who is one of the best offensive minds with extra time to prepare. Of all remaining playoff teams, the Browns have given up the most fantasy points per game. All signs point toward Mahomes scoring 30+ fantasy points this weekend.

Value Play: Baker Mayfield — $FBX 15.50

Without a doubt, Baker is the most undervalued QB on the Fanvest market today. He has averaged nearly 21 fantasy points per game since week 12 and is going up against the 2nd worst QB fantasy defense left in the playoffs. Heading into the game with a line of -10, there’s also a chance Baker can put up some high volume fantasy points in garbage time. At FBX15.50, he is the steal of the QB pool.

Running Back

Favorite Play: Cam Akers $FBX15.55

Cam Akers stormed onto the scene last week, amassing 25.6 fantasy points. With an injury-plagued Jared Goff returning under center, look for the Rams to give him the ball early and often. Look for the Rams to try to make this an ugly contest, winning by their defense and a rushing attack led by Akers. The Packers have been prone to giving up big games against opposing rushers, including 44.7 to Alvin Kamara in week 3 and 48.6 to Dalvin Cook in week 8. Akers could be the next on the list.

Value Play: Gus Edwards $FBX8.17

While J.K. Dobbins will be the more familiar name, Gus Edwards finished the season with just 80 fewer yards than Dobbins and had just 4 fewer snaps last week in the Wild Card Round. Buffalo’s run defense is the one shaky part of the team, and Baltimore wants nothing more to run the ball. Look for Edwards to get about 10–12 touches on Saturday with a good chance of falling into the endzone. At just 8 fanbucks, that’s a great value.

Wide Receiver

Favorite Play: Michael Thomas — $FBX21.10

After failing to catch a TD pass during the entire regular season, Thomas finally found the end zone last weekend against the Bears. After having a rocky start to the season, Thomas seems to be back on track and should eat up a soft Tampa secondary.

Value Play: Demarcus Robinson — $FBX7.63

The Chiefs will be without Sammy Watkins on Sunday, opening the door for Demarcus Robinson to fill the void. In the 6 games without Watkins this year, Robinson has caught 25 passes for 272 yards and 2 TD (10.7 fantasy points per game). In what should be a high scoring game for the Chiefs, the price is right for Robinson

Tight End

Favorite Play: Mark Andrews — $FBX11.53

Andrews is about as steady as they come. He won’t put up the gaudy numbers that Travis Kelce will, but features a much more reasonable price tag. Facing the worst fantasy TE defense left in the playoffs, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him put up 15+ fantasy points.

Value Play: Austin Hooper — $FBX8.53

At 8.53 fanbucks / share, this man is an absolute steal. He has scored 13 or more fantasy points in each of his last 4 games and should be in a shootout against the Chiefs Sunday. Hooper would be a great alternative for those hesitant to shell out 25 fanbucks required for a share of Travis Kelce.
