Berlin, November 8, 2022 — They are currently considered the next generation of German NBA superstars: Moritz and Franz Wagner from Berlin. The two brothers now play for the Orlando Magic — before that, Moritz “Mo” Wagner was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 25th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. Since the 2021/2022 season, he has been playing alongside his brother, who was drafted by Magic in the same season.

Franz Wagner was even called up to the NBA’s All-Rookie First Team last season and shortly afterwards finished third with the German national team at this year’s EuroBasket in a brilliant tournament. The last time a similar success was achieved 17 years ago, when Dirk Nowitzki was part of the team.

This shows why both are predicted to have a great future in the NBA— with the digital collectibles from FANZONE, fans get the chance to be a part of their journey.

Each verified unique digital collectible contains additional video scenes of an exclusive interview, which makes the fan hearts beat faster. The collection consists of three different types of collectibles. From their time at Alba Berlin, there are digital trading cards with motives from the time on the front as well as scenes of the exclusive interview on the back. In addition, 3D Bobblehead figures of Moritz and Franz, also wearing the Alba Berlin jersey will be released in a box with the video interview on the back of the box. The highlight of the collection will be the 3D studio in which the Bobblehead figures move while scenes of the interview are played in the background.

“We are very happy to have found an innovative German partner in FANZONE to release our first digital collection. We want our fans to have fun collecting the unique moments of our career so far and have the opportunity to win cool prizes at the same time! We are from Berlin — FANZONE is from Berlin. It’s a great fit. ” comment Mo and Franz on the partnership.

“We are especially excited about the partnership with the Wagner brothers and the release of the Wagner “Berlin — Home Collection”. Moritz and Franz Wagner started their careers in Berlin and are now among the biggest talents in the NBA. This is an impressive development, which we want to honor with a total of three collections: the current one is dedicated to her time in Berlin, collections on their college days and the NBA will follow.” explains Dirk Weyel, Co-Founder & CEO of FANZONE.

The Exclusive Wagner “Berlin — Home Collection” will be available on FANZONE as well as in the mobile apps of FANZONE in January 2023. All current info on the status of the cooperation can be found on the website https://www.fanzone.io/wagner. The launches of further Wagner Brothers Collections are planned for spring and summer 2023. All news about the new drop can be found in the FANZONE Newsletter.

WHAT ARE Digital Collectibles?

Blockchain technology enables the creation of limited digital objects that cannot be copied or shared. These “non-fungible tokens” (NFTs) guarantee authenticity, rarity and belonging of these objects — a unique, digital one-of-a-kind, so to speak. Another advantage is that digital goods on the blockchain are available for life and exist independently of apps and app stores. As a result, fans actually own their collections of rare trading cards and can also benefit from possible increases in value.
