Overview
This article will be covering information about the decentralized part of our platform, describing how it works for our users and how it will be incorporated with our “central” mobile app and web platform. Since we value mainstream adoption of blockchain technology for all individuals and not just the tech-savvy, we are going to be using a simple process with e-mail registration and browser accessibility thanks to our partnership with LUKSO.
An overview before it gets technical:
At FANZONE it is important to us to create NFTs with high utility. This article will describe how we create our NFTs and will continue to develop them.
We have been working hard on our app for mobile devices and desktop via web, as well as iOS and Google Android app. Our platform will have easy onboarding for our users and since high utility is extremely important to us, we are using blockchain technology including ERC725 which will offer limitless opportunities for utility of our NFTs in the future!
Initially, beta app users will receive early access to their NFTs on LUKSO’s beta network. In this process the revolutionary, so called, “Universal Profiles” are created for each one of our users. During the first steps of our beta launch users will not see their NFTs in their Universal Profiles right away. The NFTs each user owns will be transferred to the profiles by FANZONE and kept custodian. At a later date they will be allocated to their respective owners in their Universal Profiles.
In the next step we are working together with LUKSO to develop a new standard that makes our NFTs truly unique and upgradable!
Once we transition onto LUKSO mainnet, we will begin to store all NFTs on LUKSO for each corresponding user. From this point on users will also be able to store the digital trading cards on external marketplaces, their personal Universal Profiles, private keys or for example “MetaMask” if they choose to do so.

Early Access: Track & Trace — Eco-NFTs on User Profiles
Fans with early access will be able to begin collecting digital trading cards (NFTs) on our platform and in the near future will be able to see their FANZONE NFTs on their own blockchain-based user-profiles (Universal Profiles)!
We are utilizing the ERC725 identity standard on the LUKSO network- who are also the creators of these standards (they are also known as the co-authors of ERC20, web3.js and even before the MIST Browser for everyone who has been around since Ethereum emerged).
The network is for physical and digital consumer goods, utilizing Ethereum 2.0 elements and using energy-efficient algorithms.
Keep in mind (while in Beta…):
- As long as the network is still operating in Beta-mode you will only be able sell your NFTs in our own marketplace for FANZONE credits if you choose to do so. After Beta-Mode, external marketplaces will be accessible!
- We will migrate our users Universal Profiles and NFTs to the mainnet after it goes live (which is planned for later this year). Until then, the private key will be held custodian
Advantages:
- At FANZONE your NFTs are not trapped in our platform or trapped in a high-expense (high gas-fee) blockchain forever. We are partnered with LUKSO blockchain, who will have tens of thousands of PoS validator nodes and utilizing ERC725 so we can accommodate the true full decentralization vision!
- Our NFTs are Eco-friendly! They are not on a network with any Proof-of-Work (PoW) therefore they are not using those huge amounts of energy!
- Users can begin collecting NFTs right away with our platform launch and we will upgrade the smart contracts with further utility when we launch on the mainnet!
- Universal Profiles are the only solution we know of where we can support mainstream adoption of blockchain technology so easily, even for individuals without any background in crypto! It is as easy as using e-mail and a “custodian” private key. Letting users replace them later with their own private key will also be possible (eg. Using Metamask or Hardware Wallets) — without moving their NFTs.
- Our NFTs are fully interoperable with all other ERC725 and LUKSO token standards!
What’s the Tech:
- Our NFTs version 1 are using standards you most likely haven’t heard about yet, it’s part of ERC725, especially LSP4
- Our user profiles (Universal Profiles) are based on ERC725, in detail using the LSP1–3
- All media data and JSON metadata of the NFTs is also stored decentral, on IPFS servers
Upgrade to Eco-NFTs 2.0: Standardizing truly unique NFTs on LUKSO
In coordination with LUKSO and others, we are developing the next version for our NFTs which will be each unique in itself with a token ID and a unique score for the games. In the central FANZONE app you can see these already — so these will also be visible for ‘decentral-only’ and all non-logged-in users. Additionally, this will enable our NFTs to become upgradable in the future through the user activity with those cards!
What’s the Tech:
- We are building a new standard in coordination with LUKSO and other possible application developers! This will be called LSP6 or 7
- The NFTs 2.0 are essentially adding a registry and many ERC725 smart-contracts to the original NFTs
- These contracts will be fully compatible to your user profiles (Universal Profiles) and will also comply fully with the LUKSO developer community vision
Card Packs on Blockchain
Users will be able to get packs of cards on the blockchain that are traceable, similar to regular cards and assets. The card packs have an ‘open’ function and when executed they draw a given number of cards from various editions.
Marketplace “on-chain”
At this time we want to move the FANZONE credits to an on-chain solution and enable cards to be traded on chain. You could compare this concept to a “Uniswap”, just for NFTs!
Switching to Mainnet — putting the central app in the passenger seat
When the LUKSO mainnet arrives we will migrate the NFTS and redeploy all of the NFTs including the current ownership. From that point on it will be possible and useful to offer cards on external marketplaces as well! In addition, we will also allow experienced users to manage the private keys to their user profiles themselves, for example using MetaMask and hardware wallets.
All in all, we will always strive for the greatest decentralization possible!
