Our 5 favorite Instagrams to follow | #1
It’s now 2018 which means, fresh start. We’d like to start off with providing you guys with some of our current favorite Instagram accounts — accounts we turn to when we’re in need of inspiration or simply when we want to see an interesting piece of art.
For the launch of our weekly series we are highlighting 5 of our favorite photography accounts. (Other weeks may vary from design, fashion, photography and many other art forms).
Jake Michaels
We’ve been following Jake for quite some time now and recently, his image of the border wedding from Tijuana was selected by The New York Times as one of the best images from the look of 2017. Located in Los Angeles, Jake is a consistent contributor to The New York Times and splits his time between LA and Baja, California. Be sure to check out his Instagram for great imagery and inspiration.

Vishal Marapon
Focusing on the right light, shadows, shapes, and patterns Vishal isn’t the photographer you come across everyday. His work simply speaks for itself, “contemporary street photography” is what some may call it but Vishal likes to showcase imagery that he finds interesting — street corners, stairwells, geometrical shapes — from his everyday life. Give his website and Instagram a look, we’re almost sure that you’ll be as hooked as we are!

Based in London and known for his award -winning films, Dan’s vision for photography and filmmaking isn’t to be compared. In 2012, Dan wrote and directed the short film “The Ellington Kid” which hit well over 1 million views on YouTube. Dan brings his intriguing filmmaking vision into photography with a filmy-eerie look to each image he makes. Don’t forget to only check out Dan’s photography but also his short films.
