Since our launch in 2021, we’ve been on a mission to make farm-fresh food as accessible as possible. Whether it’s saving you time shopping with one account to find and support multiple farmers, or accepting SNAP Online to supplement the grocery bill, GrownBy makes it possible.

It’s never been more convenient to fill your fridge with locally sourced food without breaking the bank. If you’ve been approved to receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, you can save your Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card info as a form of payment on your GrownBy account and start shopping local farms.

Certified Naturally Grown Vegetable Farm

After years of efforts to make their produce accessible to the NOLA community, River Queen Greens became the first farm in the US to accept online SNAP EBT in 2023.

Founders Cheryl Nunes and Annie Moore are member owners of Farm Generations Coop and run a 30-week, free-choice Farm Share in New Orleans where they offer Certified Naturally Grown produce. They’ve got it all — meat, merch, and mushrooms! Honey and hot sauce. Tofu and T-shirts. All available for purchase with SNAP EBT.

Footprint Farm offers a CSA program from April through mid-December alongside add-ons from local makers and bakers.

USDA Organic & Real Organic Certified Diversified Vegetable Farm

Footprint Farm grows most vegetables, some fruit, and a few pigs. They offer a nearly year long CSA program from April until the middle of December.

Footprint also has an online store that provides members with a full range of grocery items from local makers such as cheese, eggs, meat, bread and more.

Massaro is a USDA Organic non-profit farm dedicated to giving back to their community.

Massaro Community Farm is a Certified Organic, 501(c)3 non-profit that grows mixed vegetables, flowers, and eggs. Not only do they offer Sliding Scale Pricing for their CSA, they donate at least 10% of their annual harvest to local hunger relief organizations.

Sleeping Lion implements a rotational cows grazing system that supports the health of the cows, and the health of the soil. They offer delivery, pick up, and, in the summer, serve monthly beef shares to a few NYC CSAs.

Northwest Corner Farm practices organic and regenerative farming practices. Their CSA runs from mid-June to mid-October and features vegetables, herbs, flowers, and add-ons like honey, maple syrup, and log-grown mushrooms.

In addition to accepting SNAP Online, the farm has set aside a number of shares for food insecure low-income families.

Texas Tribal Buffalo Project is a group of indigenous women bison caretakers providing healthy and sustainable bison products for their community. Their goal to reconnect Texas Indigenous Peoples by reconnecting to the buffalo as relatives.

SNAP can be applied to all of their products and will deliver 150 miles from radius. TTBP also welcome the community to their farm for pick-up, or to tour the pastures.
