Christy Turlington was born January 2, 1969 in Walnut Creek, California. She was discovered in Miami, Florida while horseback riding by photographer Dennie Cody. At 14, she started modeling during the summer, and after she turned 18, she moved to New York City to model full-time.

Over her career, Turlington has done campaigns for: Calvin Klein, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Prada, Valentino, Versace, Louis Vuitton,Bally, Jason Wu, Max Mara, Escada, Michael Kors, and Maybelline.

She has been the cover model for the top fashion magazines over 500 times, including: Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle,g Marie Claire, L’Officiel, Tatler, Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Allure.

In 1993, Metropolitan Museum of Art calls her “The Face of the 20th Century”.
