Gisele Bündchen was born July 20th, 1980 in Três de Maio, Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil. Bündchen was discovered by Elite Model Management in São Paulo at a shopping mall. She finished second in the Elite Look of the Year, and fourth overall in the world version of the same contest. In 1996, Bündchen moved ton New York City for her first Fashion Week.
