Lara Stone was born December 20th, 1983 in Mierlo, Netherlands. Her modeling career began when she was discovered in Paris while on vacation while she was just 12. She then took part in the Elite Model Look international modeling contest when she was 15 in 1999. She was not the winner, but was signed by Elite Model Management.

Not long after, in 2006, Lara Stone left Elite models and signed with IMG Models. She started her career on the runway with Givenchy during Paris Fashion Week. The same year, she worked with Calvin Klein.

In 2007, she received a major editorial in Vogue Paris, and appeared on the cover later that year.

Lara Stone has walked the catwalk for: Giles Deacon, Isabel Marant, Christopher Kane, Fendi, MaxMara, Prada, Chanel, Diesel, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, and Balmain.

She has worked on campaigns for: Givenchy, Belstaff, Just Cavalli, H&M, CK, Givenchy, Belstaff, Hugo Boss Orange, Calvin Klein Cosmetics, Jil Sander, CKI, Louis Vuitton, Versus by Versace Fragrance, and Jaeger.

In 2010 she became the face of Prada’s fragrance, Infusion d’Iris, shot by Steven Meisel.
