Hello World! Or WHY we started an engineering blog

Hey there and welcome to the FASHION CLOUD Engineering Blog!

I want to take this opportunity and talk a little bit about who we are and why we have decided to start blogging.

FASHION CLOUD is a startup based in Hamburg, Germany that envisions to create a strong wholesale community that can easily collaborate and trade together. We connect Fashion Brands and Fashion Retailers with our digital platform that allows them to exchange product data, product images and handles orders in real time. We have founded the company in 2015 and currently have 25 employees, 250 fashion brand customers and over 2000 retail customers from all over the globe.

We also strongly believe that communities that challenge existing ideas create unlimited impact. Thats why our engineers have the time and flexibility to share their thoughts and learnings through this blog.
