Development Update July 23, 2018 | Kanban | Mobile Wallet

The FAB Foundation provides technical updates related to the project every week.

Mobile Wallet

UI/UX changes based on user feedback have been implemented into the FABcoin Mobile Wallet. This includes making clear the ordering ofMnemonic words and how to enter them in for wallet resets. The app setup has also been modified and the FAB Privacy Policy has been added.

The Android version of the wallet can be downloaded at and The IOS version of the mobile wallet is being reviewed by the Apple Store and will be available for download after review.

Next Steps

Next upgrades include adding QR code functions for trading next week, and in the future, adding other coins into the wallet starting with Bitcoin.

Smart Contract

We have set up a smart contract test network and began functional testing for recent changes made in the smart contract. These include synchronization and UTXO hashing.

Last week we continued to advance the work of the Kanban prototype including the underlying encryption operations, and proof of concepts for the network. PBFT consensus algorithms were looked at.

The team is implementing 2 clients for Kanban. We are also coding the cryptography for the implementations.

The JS/TS group code is now open for reference by blockchain enthusiasts interested in tracking or joining development. KanBan will have a number of important technologies that have not yet been announced.

We encourage developers everywhere to view and comment on our implementations.

Developer discussion:

Web Wallet and System Health

Our HD Wallet has been completed with basic features that do not require smart contract use.

Features for tracking health of network are in the process of being created for internal use. One for seeing the block interval time distribution and to measure how they should be generating for calculating difficulty has been created.

In the previous week the team completed mobile compatibility features, SEO fixes and finished language translations. The next changes for the website include adding in a blog page and ticketing system as well as completing the entire design theme for the home page.

Global Women in Blockchain Announce The FAB Foundation as their Official Education Arm

The FAB Foundation has been appointed as the official education arm of the Global Women in Blockchain, the world’s premier network for women in the decentralized tech community. As the education arm of the Global Women in Blockchain(GWB), FAB will provide content, accreditation programs, on-boarding and more to members within the network.

The news of the partnership between the two organizations comes as the Global Women in Blockchain (GWB) are preparing for the ChainXChange conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA August 13–15, 2018 at the Mandalay Bay. FAB will ensure all blockchain content provided through sponsors GWiB is educational.

Noted speakers include Steve Wozniak the Co-Founder of Apple, Paul Krugman a Nobel prize-winning economist, Molly Bloom, Common, Gary Vaynerchuk, Nina Nichols and more.

Visit for more information and to join us at the conference.

Ambassador Program

On Saturday, our first event organized by our Beijing FAB Ambassador was successfully held. Video of the event will be released shortly. Here are pictures from the event.

Shanghai will be hosting a meetup at the end of this month or early next month.
At the same time, for those who are not deeply aware of the project, we will be providing more educational tools including regular presentations online.

The new Ubuntu version of the mining software CUDA, has been updated at and can be viewed at any time for download. Instructions for use: Ubuntu 16.04 Nvidia with CUDA.

There is no pre-mining period for the foundation chain network and it is directly open for public use and mining. During the first three months, the new currency generated by the mining will be locked for three months. During this period, it will not be transferred or traded. It will be automatically unlocked three months. The first wave of unlocking is expected to be in June (after listing).

The lock-in system is designed to protect the interests of investors and prevent a large number of sell-offs after the listing. The lockout system is temporary. The current block time is the same as Bitcoin. The Bitcoin maturity period is 100 blocks during that time while the FAB network speed is eight times that of Bitcoin, so it is 800 blocks for the allotted time. Any future coins will take less than one day to mature.

The Fabcoin and Doxygen documentation are available at The source code has also been published on the Github website. You can visit to view it. Interested programmers are welcome to participate in the development and testing work. We are open to improvements.
