FAB Partners with HealthBlock Identity (HBI) to Create a Unified Data System for Healthcare Providers
Patient data management is coming to the Fast Access Blockchain

FAB is pleased to announce our partnership with Toronto-based startup HealthBlock Identity.
HealthBlock Identity (HBI), aims to solve the vast reconciliation problems in electronic health record management by leveraging blockchain technology to create a unified system where all healthcare providers can easily transfer data to one another. The project will allow patient health data to be convenient to access, permanent to ensure one source of verifiable truth, and private.
HBI is building the solution in 3 main parts; the first is the back-end blockchain, the second is the mobile application used by existing patients/new patients, and the third is the web application used by employees and medical approving authorities such as doctors, pharmacists, medical laboratories and more.

Charles manages and headlines a project stocked with top-level blockchain and healthcare talent. Charles has a varied background of skills he’s demonstrated working as a Business Analyst at RBC, a Start-up Advisor at York University’s Blockchain Hub and most recently at Polymath as a Manager specializing in Open Source Development and Ethereum Dev relations.
Lead Advisor on the project Dr. Nadia Diakun- Thibault served the Province of Ontario Advocacy Commission, is an adjunct professor at North Carolina State University and coauthored a pioneering paper for blockchain in healthcare “Blockchain and Health IT: Algorithms, Privacy and Data”.
Andrew Maclaren also serves as a lead advisor on the project. Andrew is currently the Founder/CEO at Hud Studios and has built many successful startups throughout his career. He has also held executive and high level roles for EMC, IBM, Cannacord and Accenture amongst many others.
HBI also has two Doctor advisors from Canada and the United States on board to help them solve this massive problem that doctors see first hand everyday.
Charles is flanked by co-founder Deep Prasad, a talented software developer (specializing in AI) with stints at RBC Wealth Management, at non-profit Tetra Society as President, and at Asigra. Jofo Domingo, a Community Developer for ConsenSys sits with the founding team as their marketing lead.
The FAB team was drawn to the project due to the strong team, necessity of the project in today’s landscape and the potential added-value the application will bring.
