Hazard to the Bernabéu!?

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard, has hinted at a move to the Spanish capital for at least two years now. Things may be getting interesting as he has one year left on his current Chelsea contract. According to Sky Sports, “He [Hazard] doesn’t want to sign right now. That means he is waiting for something and that something means just one thing: Real Madrid.” Of course, Real Madrid could make a bid for him in the coming month, as the winter transfer window is ongoing, or in the summer. They also have the option of competing for his signature next winter along with other interested teams. It will be interesting to see just how each team handles this situation and if there will actually be a move in the near future.

My Take: Personally, I see this as an ideal situation for Real Madrid. They have been struggling in La Liga this year with 33 points and are in 4th place in the table (10 points behind leaders F.C. Barcelona). Hazard seems like a perfect replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo and could be the ideal person to boost their attacking line. Whether this deal will get done in the near future or not is yet to be seen. In my opinion, Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez, needs to do all that he can to acquire the Belgian’s services.
