Food is amazing and all humans need it to stay alive. Restaurants in different forms have been with human civilization since the start. As far as ancient Greece and Rome. Fast food usually catered to travelers. McDonald’s was the first restaurant to use the term fast food restaurants but many people believe that White Castle was the first fast food restaurant. White Castle was founded in 1921 in Wichita, Kansas. Many people don’t know much about White Castle but everyone knows McDonalds. McDonalds was founded by the McDonald brother and it was opened in 1948, and several fast-food chains that exist today opened soon after. Many other fast food places opened after such as Burger King and Taco Bell and many more that opened in the 1950s, and then Wendy’s opened in 1969. Many people love to eat fast food and this can be seen all throughout fast food history. According to the National Restaurant Association, America sales of fast food totaled $163.5 billion in 2005. But fast food wasn’t just popular in the United States this industry is growing globally as well. Everybody loves fast food and it will continue to grow throughout history!
