Fast Food is it Worth it?

Everybody loves fast food. Even if it isn’t always good for us. McDonald’s has been around for a very long time and we have a feeling it won’t be going anywhere soon. But do you know who started this empire of fast food? Dick and Mac McDonald are the founding fathers of this fast food restaurant. Dick and Mac moved to California to seek opportunities they felt unavailable in New England. They first tried to have a movie business but that didn’t go well. So they chose to try a operating drive-in-restaurant. In 1948 they built a little tiny drive through and had 15 cent hamburgers. This little drive through came a rather big success and this led the brothers to begin franchising their concept-nine becoming operating restaurants. Then came along a man named Ray Kroc and he ran into the McDonald brothers and in 1954 he became their franchise agent. He helped open up the first restaurant for McDonald’s System, Inc., a predecessor of the McDonald Corp. Ray Kroc’s had big dreams and that dream was to have at least 1,000 McDonald restaurants solely in the United States alone. Even after that McDonald’s continued to grow and expand into international markers beginning in 1967. It opened in Canada and Puerto Rico. In total today the company has over 36,000 restaurants in over 100 nations. The most recent opening in Kazakhstan in 2016. Overall McDonald’s is a fast food empire. But how does this connect to my topic you may ask? Well yes McDonald’s has great food and it’s quick and easy to get but it is not something we should be eating on a regular day to day life style.
