In this day and age, online marketing is a massive aspect of any business that plans on being successful. The ability to promote yourself and your brand online can have a huge impact on your bottom line. Well-implemented marketing strategies can propel your business forward and return growth results that make every penny invested well spent.

Take a look at a few of our online marketing tips below that you can start using to improve the web presence of your small business or cause.

1. Blog.

Blogging is an extremely useful online marketing tool, however the majority of website owners rarely, if ever, write blog posts consistently. This is a huge mistake that should be avoided; blog posts, when written correctly and up to current SEO practices, have the potential to turn a one-time reader into a devoted follower.

Blogging helps your web ranking increase in search indexes like Google or Bing, and the better quality content that you write, the higher your ranking per page will be. It’s clearly a no-brainer that blogging is a MUST! Here’s a few tips to help you write effective blog posts.

2. Utilize Social Media.

Social media platforms are another excellent way to market your business to the world. The best part about social media? It’s free! (unless you pay for Ad campaigns/boosts). Who doesn’t love free advertising?

Being able to connect with hundreds of millions of internet surfers and potential customers for free can save you some serious coin. Social media also provides the benefit of word-of-mouth advertising; a customer is happy with your products after a sale, and they decide to tell their friends, who then decide to purchase from you as well. It’s a win-win!

3. Leverage Email Marketing Campaigns.

“Email marketing is great for engaging customers, but you’re really limiting its potential if you keep it in a silo,” says Ron Cates, director, Digital Marketing Education, Constant Contact. Leveraging email marketing provides your business the opportunity to connect with customers or clients who you haven’t heard from in a while, as well as allowing your business to advertise upcoming promotions, sales, or new products.

“The impact of email is undeniable,” Cates states. “We’ve seen from our customers that upwards of 25 percent of all sales of coupons and deals can be
attributed to reminder emails.”

4. Create a Google Business Page.

Google business pages are very simple to set up, yet the benefits they provide are astounding. Google basically let’s you place your business front and center to your local (or national) audience, depending on how competitive the niche you operate in is in that area. You have the option to list every detail about your business, such as location, number, email, etc, that appears at the very top of Google search results when people look for products or services in the market you operate in.

Utilizing a Google business page also integrates your business with Google further, which will help boost your page rank results. This is a huge online marketing tip that should be used, especially since it’s absolutely free!

Instagram is a great way to gain exposure!

5. Post Images to Instagram.

Instagram is a fantastic social media platform that has a massive user base and audience. The result? An almost endless supply of eyeballs that can see and share your business images. This should be leveraged in a way that you can generate revenue from simply posting pictures of your products or services that will entice prospective customers to engage with you or your website.

We’ve personally already grown our Instagram account to over 4,000 followers in about 2 months; and once again, the best part? IT’S ABSOLUTELY FREE!

Effective online marketing can make a world of difference to your business’s bottom line. There are plenty of other online marketing tips that can be useful when implemented correctly, and we would love to hear about any tips or tricks that you personally use in the comments below.
