BBC’s “Father Brown”, returning for season 12, sees filming begin in Spring 2024
Filming for season 12 Father Brown episodes, currently scheduled to begin in Spring 2024, has been given the green light. The long running BBC One daytime period dramedy, starring Mark Williams as the series titular Father Brown, has been part of the metaphorical furniture for television viewers since 2013.
The current Father Brown series regular cast, further to Williams, includes Claudie Blakley, Ruby-May Martinwood, Tom Chambers, and John Burton.
Blakley, Martinwood, Chambers, and Burton respectively portray Mrs. Isabel Devine, Brenda Palmer, Chief Inspector Edgar Sullivan, and Sergeant Daniel Goodfellow. Mrs. Devine, noting how the 11th season finale concludes, will soon be Mrs. Sullivan.
Burton, playing Sergeant Daniel Goodfellow, has been an increasingly popular part of the metaphorical furniture since 2014 and it doesn’t look like the actor will be stepping away from his character any time soon. There were rumbles that, with Sergeant Goodfellow having qualified as a fully fledged Detective Inspector, Burton might be exiting Father Brown.
