Dominic Keavey’s The Sacrifice of Tantalus, with a story penned by Kit Lambert, sees the return to Kembleford of a surprising face. The episode opens with a curious scene, introducing Alan Tylett, making his way towards a farmhouse on Kembleford’s outskirts.

The scene quickly transitions to Sergeant Daniel Goodfellow berating Constable Colin Blaisen for comments he wrote in an official report. Was “using un-Christian language in the presence of a police officer” really an offense in 1953?

Sgt Goodfellow, noting his comment regarding writing the exact offence according to the law, is clearly unamused. The sergeant correctly observes, if one doesn’t know what crime they are arresting someone for, the arrest shouldn’t occur.
