The Requiem for the Dead, directed by John Maiden from a story penned by Michelle Lipton, was televised in the British Isles on Wednesday, 5 January 2022. The third episode finds the titular character delving deeply into past events. Father Brown, as series fans can attest, is not one for leaving a stone unturned. Uncovering the truth is the titular character’s goal.

The cream of British talent, ever since the first series premiere, has appeared in Father Brown. Further to Mark Williams, Sorcha Cusack, John Burton, and Jack Deam, playing prominent characters, The Requiem for the Dead stars Michael Cooke, John Cooke, Penny Layden, and John Thomson.

Alex Price, playing Sidney “Sid” Carter, also guest stars. Price’s character, appearing in at least five series nine episodes, remains a much beloved Kembleford figure with many Father Brown fans.

Whilst the “Best Kept Village” is important to both Father Brown and Bridgette McCarthy, noting Sid’s reaction, not all Kembleford residents feel the same way. The episode teaser is designed to introduce viewers…
