‘FB’: S08.E10. “The Tower of Lost Souls”… Episode Synopsis…

Father Brown investigates two peculiar deaths that happened on the grounds of a family tower.

Dominic Keavey’s ‘The Tower of Lost Souls’, from a teleplay penned by then future Sister Boniface Mysteries creator Jude Tindall, brings back to Kembleford two senior police detectives. DI Gerry Mallory, not exactly a team player, is forced to play second fiddle to DCI Walter Valentine, DCI Edgar Sullivan, and Father Brown. Could having too many detectives working the case see them get in each other’s way?

Both Hugo Speer and Tom Chambers, respectively playing DCI Walter Valentine and DCI Edgar Sullivan, were previously part of the Father Brown main cast in different years. Speer, first seen in the first series premiere ‘The Hammer of God’, remained with the Father Brown until the second series premiere ‘The Ghost in the Machine’.
