Submissions for Fathering Together

Thank you for your interest in Fathering Together. We welcome anyone, who identifies as a father, dad, baba, and many other titles, to read and share their stories. And just as important are the stories of children raised by these individuals, so if you have a memory of your father, dad, baba, etc., please consider sharing those stories as well.

Through these stories, we aspire to engage the multitude of experiences within fatherhood in our ever-evolving world. And we do this because there are many approaches to and expressions of fatherhood.

To be considered for publication with us…

In short, we are looking for creative non-fiction, memoirs and reflections. Please keep them short(ish) 500–2,500 words. Any work submitted must be original and written by you. We are especially interested in the following themes, but if you have a great story, don’t let them stop you from submitting.

If you have a story or an idea of a story that fits the above, please fill out our submission form to be considered as a writer. If we accept your story, we’ll add you as a writer and you’ll see our name added under your publications.

Additional Details and Requirements

• All submissions must adhere to Medium’s Rules and Ad-Free Policies.
• All submissions are subject to editing, but please ensure to double and triple check your work before submitting. We read everything for content, but don’t have time to fix every typo or misspelled word. If there are major issues, we’ll ask you to fix them and resubmit.
• All submissions must have images, at the very least a banner image. Please put the banner image below your title. There are a number of sites that provide copyright free images. Please check out the sites below. You are welcome to use your own images too. If you need help, please include a note when submitting.

Ready to Submit?

1. Double check your writing one more time.
2. Add tags. Make sure your first tag is related to one of the six themes to ensure we publicize it correctly.
3. Then, click on the ellipsis by your avatar. Click Add to Publication and select “Fathering Together.”
4. Then save add as a draft.
