Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
Background
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Interest and ability to learn other programming languages/technologies/tools as needed.
- Passion for software craftsmanship and agile development methodologies.
- Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
Technical Qualifications
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- Proficient in bash shell and *nix
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g. Git, or SVN)
- Solid understanding of web markup, (e.g. HTML5, or CSS3)
- Understanding of reusability concept
Bonus
- Experience designing, building large-scale Ruby on Rails applications
- Experience with TDD or BDD practices
- Exposure to common testing libraries such as RSpec
- Experience with different type of data stores, such as PostgreSQL, Redis and ElasticSearch
